What is Prop 64?

With the passage of Prop 64 (Adult Use of Marijuana Act) in California, many myths have replaced facts. This presentation clarifies the facts from myths. It promotes education of what Prop 64 is by detailing the key components of the proposition and providing facts on the new forms of marijuana that are being used. This presentation is available in English and Spanish.

Marijuana: What Parents Need to Know

Recent research studies have indicated an increase of marijuana use among teens. Many parents find it difficult to have conversations with their children, but with more potent forms of the drug now available, parents need to have these conversations. This presentation is designed to educate parents and encourage them to communicate to their children the harmful effects of marijuana use and discourage use. This presentation is available in English and Spanish.

Attacking Underage Drinking

This presentation was developed by Tulare County HHSA/Alcohol and Drug Prevention Services, this tool kit helps to create awareness of the health, social, and economic problems which results from the use of alcohol by youth. It also encourages youth, adults and the community as a whole to become involved in reducing alcohol accessibility to youth. This presentation is available in English and Spanish.
