Who We Are
The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence Tulare County, Inc. (NCADD) was established in 1976 as a 24 hr. information & referral service for those seeking help for alcoholism and other drug dependencies. NCADD Tulare Co., Inc. is one of almost 80 affiliates in the United States. NCADD, Inc. was located in New York and was founded in 1944 by Marty Mann, the first woman of Alcoholics Anonymous.
What We Do
NCADD Tulare Co., Inc. is a primary prevention program whose goal is to reduce underage drinking, teen marijuana use and reduce prescription drug use and misuse in Tulare County. To achieve these goals we offer evidence based curriculum to parents (in English & Spanish) and their teens. NCADD also conducts environmental prevention activities which include promoting and encouraging attendance in ABC L.E.A.D. Trainings, implementing the “Sticker Shock” Campaign, Retail Compliance Checks, "Parents Who Host Lose the Most" Campaign, and "Lock Your Meds" Campaign. NCADD also provides underage drinking and underage marijuana use prevention presentations to communities, adults and teens.

The Mission of NCADD Tulare Co., Inc. Substance Use Disorder Prevention Services is to engage communities in partnership to reduce the use, misuse and abuse of alcohol and other drugs through culturally relevant, evidence-based prevention activities and programs.
